Philip G. Sneen, 90, of 3504 Hoover Ave., Altoona, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather peacefully went to our Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Sacred Heart Hospital with his family by his side.

Philip was born October 31, 1913 and celebrated his 90th birthday in October, 2003. He was preceded in death by parents Joe and Betsy (Berg) Sneen; a brother, Adrain; sisters Evelyn Miller and Florence Sneen. He is survived by his loving wife Sylvia of 69 years, and daughters Carol (Phil) Stokes, Marlys Moholt and Sharon (Tom) Morse; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Mark, David, Eric, Melissa, Amy, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Andrew, Tina, and Betsy Jo and 15 great-grandchildren, sister Gladys Miller and brother Donald (Jean) Sneen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.




Philip and Sylvia were married July 14, 1934. They farmed near Elk Mound for 55 years and were dedicated members of Spring Brook Lutheran and Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Churches. Philip took great pleasure in his children and grandchildren, led a Christ-centered life and set a Godly example for all. His devotion to his wife, family and friends will never be forgotten. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2004 at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church in Elk Mound with the Rev. Dean Brockmeier officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home in Eau Claire and one hour prior to the time of services at the church.
