Lentertament Quickie: Talking Derpy is Nice But...

Oh Boy, I've got a lot of explaining to do, okay so as some of you may know in 'The Last Roundup' Derpy speaks at the beginning of the episode.

That's all fine and dandy, shows the creators listen to the fans, but here is my issue. Why say this is the best episode ever yet it has little to do with the plot itself? I know it's a matter of opinion but why judge something over one thing that has little to nothing to do with the whole story, it's like judging a book by its cover only you've read the chapter that had little to do with the story itself.

I'm not saying Derpy shouldn't talk or that people can love/like/enjoy that scene, I myself was yaying like Fluttershy and I am a fan of Derpy, but I don't understand how something can be judged for something.

Also, this is just my opinion/argument, just because I'm making a video stating it, doesn't mean I don't respect yours.

Wait just a darn tootin minute. I just watched the episode all over again. The whole thing WAS funny... Cherries, Pinkie Promise, etc etc... you're off your topper!!!

@izlude2 If you had payed attention to the commentary I never said that the episode was bad, I said that people shouldn't jump to the conclushion that it's the best because of a scene that had little/nothing to do with the plot of the episode.

I personally think that it was one of the best episodes of the show not only because Derpy spoke and was handed the name Derpy, but also because it was a fantastic episode overall. With Applejack being given some great character development and addressing how the cast feels about Pinkie Pie's ramblings

Perfectly agreed, good friend. I personally consider this episode historic in the FiM chronology, but not exclusively because of Derpy talking. Sure, it made me squeal all around the house like a little girl in excitement, but I consider it historic for all the other great elements to its story. The way they conceal the story's mystery is superb, the humor is at its best, and the chase scene is to always be remembered. Awesome episode, but not just because of Derpy talking.
