@garyvalabby I dont want to start an argument but i simply cannot let your comment about Karen go. Michelle Lee did outstanding work on Knots as did all the other actors. Karen's strength and sheer determination was one of many fine qualities she contributed to the show. To say I dont like Karen is like saying " I like gone with the wind" but not Scarlett O'hara

Karen was always so angry. She was angry all the time. It was funny.  She was crazy.

Abby/Donna Mills was the reason that made "Knots Landing" watchable. When Donna Mills left the show in '89 the show went downhill quick.

@linny50 i know that book. i think it's called television's greatest divas and the author is michael mcwilliams or something. he is fabulous with his critique of the nighttime soaps and it's leading ladies.

@a32tl They should have made a Knots Landing Drinking Game .Take one shot everytime someone uses the word "civil",every time the same actor comes back as another character,everytime someone cheats on their spouse,everytime an underused character's young child rebels or takes drugs,etc.One would be plastered as Gary by the end.

Abby rocked! She was Knots Landing in my opinion. I remember so many of her lines and employ them to this day when I get a chance. She had some great zingers.

Yea. For some reason, when I think of Knots Landing, I immediately think of Karen first......I don't know why.......I couldn't imagine the show without her. I loved them all

Abby always had this granite faced bitch breathing down her neck. HATED Karen and Val and adored watching Abby streamroll over their insignificant lives.

Michele Lee was every bit as good as Donna or Joan. Karen was mainly angry whenever she had to be around Abby.

@Joeyarhino1 I totally agree with you concerning Michelle Lee,I once read a book that said that, while Valene was the heart of Knots Landing... Karen was the soul of it, and I agree.She was tough,fair,decent yet vulnerable as we saw during her issues with her daughter,Lee gave great performances. And also as I recall the creator of the show saying that he thought of Karen as himself.
