  • I thought Marcus was the Professor of Mathematics

  • He was, but he's now Professor for the Public Understanding of Science, the post that Richard Dawkins used to hold.

  • the way science was presented to me as a kid was not only confusing but so dull and uninspiring that i just hated it

i couldn't understand what the teachers went on about why we were wasting time on it and i was further discouraged by that i never managed to pass any of my science classes

as an adult i rediscovered and fell in love science

and i often catch myself wondering "and why on earth didn't they teach us this in science class?!?!"

  • Wow, I really relate.

Yes, me too! I truly hated science at school and failed all the exams I was made to take in it. It was only years later that I grew to like it (got two degrees in science now!)
