Tim Tebow Does It Again! Broncos Stun Bears In OT & Texans Clinch Division! Should Tim Tebow Be MVP?

DENVER BRONCOS BEAT CHICAGO BEARS IN OVERTIME 13-10

Tim Tebow did it again. Matt Prater's 51-yard field goal 6½ minutes into overtime gave the Broncos a 13-10 win over the stunned Chicago Bears on Sunday. Prater's 59-yarder with 3 seconds left in regulation tied the score after Tebow led another rally.

It was Denver's sixth straight win, and half of them have come in OT since Tebow, dubbed the "Mile High Messiah," was promoted to starter.

This one put the Broncos in sole possession of first place in the AFC West following Oakland's 46-16 drubbing at Green Bay.

After failing to score on their first dozen possessions, the Broncos (8-5) erased a 10-0 deficit in the final 2:08 of regulation.

Tebow hit Demaryius Thomas with a 10-yard TD pass, then got the ball back with 53 seconds left after Marion Barber saved Denver precious time by going out of bounds when the Bears were trying to run out the clock.

Tebow drove the Broncos 39 yards for Prater's kick, which he rocketed through the uprights.

The Bears (7-6) won the toss in overtime and quickly got into field goal range before Barber, who rushed for 108 yards but will be remembered for his two late mistakes, coughed up the football at the Broncos 34 and Elvis Dumervil recovered.

Denver was out of timeouts after Thomas' touchdown and had to try an onside kick, which the Broncos couldn't recover. But on second down after the two-minute warning, Barber cut outside and was pushed out, stopping the clock.

The Bears would have to punt, and Tebow got the ball back at his 20 and went to work, not needing to go far with Prater's strong leg in the thin air.

Tebow, who also led the Broncos to wins in OT at Miami and San Diego since his promotion over Kyle Orton in October, ran 12 times for 49 yards and completed 21 of 40 passes for a season-best 236 yards.

HOUSTON TEXANS BEAT CINCINNATI BENGALS 20-19

Eighty yards to cover, little more than 2 minutes left, no timeouts to help. Rookie quarterback T.J. Yates faced his biggest challenge as he lined up for the snap.

With savvy and a scramble, he pulled it off.

Yates led the biggest drive in Texans history on Sunday, one that put them in the end zone and the playoffs. He threw a 6-yard touchdown pass with 2 seconds left for a 20-19 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals that sent the expansion team into the playoffs for the first time.

BOX SCORE: Texans 20, Bengals 19

"It's pretty crazy," Yates said. "A lot of people in this organization have waited a long time for this. This is a special day for this team and this organization."
In the span of a few wild minutes, everything broke their way.

With their seventh straight win, the Texans (10-3) moved to the threshold of the playoffs. They hugged on the field then headed to the locker room, where they huddled around a television set and watched the final minutes of Tennessee's game play out.

They needed a Titans loss to clinch the AFC South.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES BEAT MIAMI DOLPHINS 26-10

One sack cost the Miami Dolphins their quarterback. Another resulted in a safety. With the last one, the team matched a franchise record for bad blocking.

Nine sacks had the Dolphins going in reverse, ending their recent surprising surge, and they lost Sunday to the Philadelphia Eagles, 26-10.

Pro Bowl tackle Jake Long left the game in the first quarter with a back injury, and after that the Dolphins had trouble blocking anyone. The Eagles took advantage of three takeaways to score 24 points during a nine-minute span in the second quarter, and later sent Miami quarterback Matt Moore to the sideline with a head injury.
