@itsallgood239 Then you'd basically be saying fuck AIC because prior to DIrt they were QUITE 80's metal...educate yourself! Jerry Cantrell himself has always said that he will always keep the metal element in his band and I totally dig that. the 80's had some good shit especially from a guitar player's standpoint, so don't knock it because prior to the 80's we'd still be hearing garbled Jimmy Page style blues licks over and over again for another few decades.

@RNRDOLL Fuck 80s metal dude. If you are correct this is the only 80s stuff I like. IMO the 80s was the worst decade in music history. 90s is where it's at.

your rushing really bad. slow it down and flow with the atmosphere of the song more. you have the talent, now just apply the mood and patience.

yup, the Brits were the ones who sped up (and embellished) the blues. Sabbath and later on, motorhead and the NWOBHM. If it weren't for those damn limeys (lol) we'd be still listening to rehashed chicago style blues for 40 more years. Like, how many more times can you listen to a 12/8 shuffle in I IV V, without blowing your fuckin brains out from the monotony?!

Dude, I have been waiting YEARS for someone to say the same thing. I mortally hate subgenres. They take ONE song or album from a band they are most influenced by and create a whole discography based around that one sound. For me its just regular ass heavy metal, or rock n roll or whatever..no silly subgenres. That's why I could never like really hardcore metal or anything..they can only pull off one type of thing. I like my music versatile and non-denominational...general, but not generic.

my thoughts exactly. Grunge was that really noisy, woolly, sludgy punk/blues hybrid thing that peaked from like '84-'89. Something AIC NEVER was part of. They were a flat out hard rock/light metal band that had a SLIGHT tinge of grunge. If anyone has any doubts AIC wasn't grunge..listen to their demos..they're pretty 80's heavy metal style.

lets get something straight here, without 'niggers' there would be no blues, as a result..no rock n roll, as a result...nothing you listen to would even fuckin' exist. Lets show a bit more respect, shall we? We should be beyond that shit by now.

actually none of the big four 'grunge' bands were very grunge at all. They sounded NOTHING like Mudhoney or Green River or Tad etc. Beyond Nirvana's and Soundgarden's first albums, none of it was grunge one bit. Pearl Jam and AIC were never grunge to begin with. Pearl Jam was pretty classic Rock-ish and AIC had a lot more 80's metal/hard rock to them. 'Facelift' still had some of that GnR meets Ratt vibe they used to have around the first two years they formed like on Put You Down and Sunshine.

i'd have to agree. the bb preamp is probably the best distortion/preamp/boost pedal ever made.
