  • At least the blades weren't launched, and thank god no one was near it....

  • PVC is ok for testing, but their lifespan is pretty poor. The best I ever got was 19 months of lifespan in a high wind area.

I made a couple of sets of blades from aluminium pipe, 3 mm wall thickness, and they are still going strong after 7 years. I really thought they would have failed before that, but they have stood the test of time.

Give aluminium a try, I think you will be impressed.

  • OMG! This video made my day! This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. The noise of the plastic blades hitting the ground is the best part!

  • they look like pvc blades, thats probably why the broke, been there done that, never again with pvc,to dangerous.

  • lol sorry buts it sorta funny

  • put a shock absorber on the tail, so it can pivit slightly

  • that's why I made mine a VAWT instead. The blades can't bend back and contact the pole.
