  • Is there a way you could rig up something to assist you? Some kind of counter-weighted lever mechanism? You did such a good job making your squat rack that I think you could devise something.

Yeah, I'm going to buy a strong band from EliteFTS as soon as I can afford one ($19).

  • I see that this video is over a year old.

How many pull ups can you do now?

  • Justin!!!!!!! Haha..guess who i am?? Lol

  • I finally hit 25. At 270lbs. You can do it.

(ps I have proof of it see my username for the video)

  • getting close man, keep at it, I can do a combined 320 weighted chinup, if you want someone to chase.

  • That's better than I can do, I'd just hang there like a fish on a hook with the lower half flapping around. Good job.

  • 60% Is Huge considering the amount of weight your lifting, with some practice and dropping a couple more pounds you will get it. Mad props for posting anyhow... ;) Pull ups are no joke. Your well on your way, take care and happy New Year

  • Hey dude, try putting one foot on a chair or stool and pulling yourself up. If you vary the distance you'll add more resistance. It's a good way to train for pull-ups and helps get passed that "stall". I can do a few pull-ups but if I workout in a circuit I'll get to wasted to lift my full weight over and over.

  • you know... I am not 300 lbs, and the fact that you got up as high as you did is very commendable. I have a hard time even with assisted pullups.

  • Hey Dude,

I watched again and you're lookin good. There's plenty of muscle on them arms mate! I had similar problems with my lats and added t-bar rows into my back day. I went really heavy for about 5 weeks, then took a week off back completely. Then I tried doing a pull up before any other exercise. Just made it, now I try to squeeze a couple in every other day, to try and improve. It's getting easier slowly, v e r y s l o w l y! Keep going, it'll come in due time!

  • Hey Joe,

Good attempt. It took me six weeks to achieve my first one! It's so worth sticking with it, the elation of success is awesome!
