I don't know if or when it will be put up on the web. There is another clip shot with it here, also two "behind-the-scenes" clips. This site has a blocker on web addresses so you'll have to sesrch for "Antistatic" and their clip "The Coping Mechanism"
The actual camera for the Antistatic clip was a JVC HD250. this camera has superior performance over the HD100 but is very similar otherwise.
I don't know the cost of a Mini35 in the UK. They are often available from rental houses.

Yeah I can imagine. I'd love to see it....anywhere online where I can view it? How much do those Mini35s go for? And also I was thing of investing in a JVC-HD100...because of its 24p capabilities. Would you recomend it over other HDV models on the market?
Video sucks, the tap dancing is out of sync, it sounds horrible, and my 8 year old could have done a better job filming

@tonycueto
She probably could too. Kids are smarter than the adults these days.
The vision was purely behind the scenes and quick snatches here and there while trying to stay out of the view of the production camera.
Edit was done on a computer incapable of realtime playback.
So is your 8yr old still want to enter the contest given these handicaps?

where is the DOF?

This clip was shadow footage shot mostly with wide lenses as the camera op had to stay out of the view of the production camera, so very few shallow DOF shots as you observed.

For the JVC HD100/MINI35, Steve had the video gain set to 0db. With the 85mm Nikon prime and the lighting used, 0db was more than enough. With the 14mm f2.8 wide lens, the lighting was about one stop under. There no no gain switched in because it was thought best to have a darker wide view image than bring in gain noise. On the Sony Z1P/AGUS35, for the shadow footage, I also used 0db video gain. On the JVC footage and Sony footage, there was no apparent gain noise in the image.
