I picked up a Digitech RP50 guitar processor recently, so I thought I'd webcam it "live" for a change.

As an entry range effect pedal, I thought it was pretty good. This is -not- a thorough testing of it. I just picked the sounds I liked best and had a long-overdue jam with it. You'll find more about the RP50here:

http://www.digitech.com/products/Multi-Effects/RP50.php

There are some other good tutorials on You Tube if you search "RP50"

For those who don't know what I'm talking about - just watch this clean-cut middle aged guy play his guitar...

update - I didn't think many people would watch it - so I've since added the exact number on the pedal I'm using - it shows up on my amp as an annotation.

For those who already have an RP50, there are settings or 'patches' you can program to get similar sounds to well known guitarists here:

(cut and paste in your browser if it doesn't link)

Thanks to "psp2rockman" for passing it on.

The manual is online as a PDF file here:

  • @viniciuscorbani thank you from the bottom of my barely beating heart ; )

  • @viniciuscorbani thanks = ) I'm not quite a grandpa yet; but probably not far off !

  • not a problem, youtube brother. We are all here enjoying the music scene thanx to today's technology. 30 years ago was a whole other ball game.

  • I have a BP80. I like it but it can be a little TOO complicated to set sometimes. I wish it had dials rather than buttons so you could get used to adjusting it visualy and quicker. After a while you tend to forget or lose track of some of the settings. I need to keep a written notebook of song settings

  • @Olinolan190 no worries!

  • @eastperson

A pretty funky sound though, dont get me wrong; its cool :)

  • @Olinolan190 I agree : )

  • Number 39 sounds like daft punk! XD
