I really like this song, so I thought I'd record it and put it up and maybe other people will like it too.

  • could you be so kind as to explain briefly how you do the 3 beat "bum, bum, bum" at various times throughout the song... for example, "to begin *bum, bum, bum* thrushes beating battle with the wrens" it seems like your plucking the A chord in an AM, EM, and C shapes, but i just cant get that part. Thanks!

  • @c05eden273 You've got it exactly right. Pluck the A string in AM (open), EM (2nd fret), C (3rd fret). Keep practicing. You'll get it!

  • This is just fantastic. Great song played brilliantly. I've seen a few tabs for this but your chords seem more accurate than most. Any chance you could post them?

  • @stevengarside Thanks so much for the kind words. Yeesh. I don't think I'm capable of writing those tabs. I can't even READ tabs!

  • Man, it sounds like you nailed the strum pattern. Very nice! I'm still polishing up on my covers of "the King is Dead", but getting there.

  • @cohippie Thanks man. Took me a bit of watching them play this song live to get it down. Thanks YouTube!
