The Stand - Session 4 (Handmaids Conference)

This the the creative video for the 4th session of the 2008 Handmaids Conference in Chicago. God really blessed us with the opportunity to make this video; to relay his message about standing for him and all that he represents. So, instead of the regular descriptions I would normally type out, I want to share with you all on how he inspired me to make this video.

When I got to Chicago and I was entrusted to make this video, I didn't really know at that time what to film, and conference was 3 days away! However I felt that God really wanted me to use "The Stand" by hillsong in a video creative. I first started getting messages from him about the song during August when I was in California and was taking a break after the conferences. I believed he wanted me to use the song, but I thought it was going to be for a video next year. Little did I know was that he had wanted me to use it sooner. So the very next day after I arrive, I am on the way to the first night of the 40 Days for Life Vigil, and my mind was blank. I was preoccupied with my own problems, and my thoughts consumed me. Thus I was not in the same spirit as everyone else. So here I am at an abortion clinic, suppose to be praying for the unborn babies, and my mind is focused on other matters. I felt that I was letting the unborn and God down. So after everything ended, and everyone was just talking and catching up, I went to an open space at the fence and put on my headphones and pushed play. The song that came up was "The Stand"; and as I listened to the song, God kept speaking to me and showing me visions of the message he wanted everyone at conference to hear. And as the song ended, he had provided me the creative he wanted made, and at the same time, the answer to one of my problems was solved! God is truly amazing! And to further affirm his message, my friend, told me as she was praying, that she saw a vision of Mama Mary standing over the clinic and hugging it, standing over and protecting not just us, but those who never had the chance. So as I finish this long entry, I ask you all to say a short prayer for the unborn and let this video and praisefest be that prayer to help you stand for what you believe in. Amen to you all, GB.
