Based out of Redspace (at The Joy Gallery), The Crayon Set were born in Dublin in Spring 2008. The five-piece fuses together elements of indie-rock, pop, tropacalia and classical to create an original sound. The band members all play a few instruments and they utilise lots of less traditional rock instruments such as double bass, violin, ukulele, trumpet, typewriter, wurlitzer and the clarinet to create ramshackle, melodic, orchestral and hopefully memorable pop songs. Their live shows to-date have been a success with DIY light shows, mini-brass section and giant inflatable crayons. Debut EP out in October 09.

This reminds me of that old Cure video for 'Close to Me' or 'close to you' where the band are in a wardrobe while playing the song! Nice tune lads.
