Shotgun Barrel Blown Off - Spring Turkey Hunt Disaster

My buddy Ricks got the camera rolling as he blows the barrel off his 870. Later that afternoon he drops a nice longbeard. What a day.

So does the 870 need a thread extender is that what the problem was and where can I get both of em if so. Thanks

Yes it needs a thread extender. I believe there is contact and/or product information with the camera mount. I'm actualy not using it anymore myself.....it jumps too much when the shot is taken. I may stick it on my bow from time to time though until I get a better camera arm.

I would think the recoil wouldn't be great for your camera. Have you had any problems? Is there some sort of shock suppression between the gun and camera?

I just realized I never answered you question here....sorry about that. The platform that mounts to the camera is spring mounted and semi free floating. My experience with it so far is there is still quite a bit of movement even from my mathews or from a lightly loaded 12 guage.

Forgot to screw down the magazine cap and missed his turkey..... now don't that suck. But it's an honest mistake that happens often. The 870 is still probably the best pump around. I bet that mishap didn't damage that gun one bit. It's built like a tank. It's hard to fuck up a solid block of chrome moly steel.

Too bad they got away...but glad he was okay...that is "crazy man".

Nice redemption in the end though and cool to have the family involved.
