Hey Man!! This is Sick!!! Im an up and coming Musician who recently started taking Jazz Theory Lessons about a year ago!! I'm a vocalist as well!! Sounds like something i can really write to!! Do you sell tracks??

@wesmatron In terms of something like a Bb trumpet, it's mainly due to the differing registers of various instruments of the trumpet family. It keeps the fingering the same for the player on each instrument. I.E. A sax player can switch between bari, tenor, alto, and soprano saxes while still being able to sightread with the same fingering for each note.

@blagmusic I've never understood why they do that. Is it just to make the music easier to read?

I love your backing tracks. Thank you.
Nice, but what do you mean by "C minor for Trumpet". The beat is not in both keys is it?

@sillyie Hi! When a trumpet player reads and plays a C, the actual sound that comes out is the same as a Bb on a keyboard/piano. This is helpful to know when having discussions whilst jamming or arranging. Most trumpets are Bb trumpets but there are various tunings out there.
Peace!
