How strong are these JDM type tow hooks?? I have a prerunner truck that I race in the desert & I am constantly either being towed or towing friends out of the sand. Im looking at this as a quicker alternative to how I currently tow (wrapping a tow strap around my front bumper bar or the chassis in the rear). It seems like it would be faster to just connect a hooked end of a tow strap to this. But a 5000lb truck stuck in sand is more strain on the hook v.s. a 2000lb import car. Ideas? comments?

@bigerch85 and you're an idiot. fuck gospel im an atheist, gospel is bullshit. anyway, yes, it's impossible for a cable to go through someone unless its a really fucking thick cable with a few hundred tons of weight stretching it. obviously you want to be no where near it because it could kill you, easily, but it would never go strait through you.

@MrAnthonyfilms OK mate,i havnt been on training courses and showed pics of cable whip victims,just cos mythbusters says i doesnt happen doesnt make it gospel! Lets just say im recovering a 40ton truck and the cable whips or snapped,i wouldnt be anywhere near it as my training states to stand clear,i have seen the cable embeded in the front of the truck,think before you type moron.Im a tow truck driver
