DNC 2008 Confrontation Over Christianity/Condemnation

Vox Boxing caught a heated confrontation between a group of Bible Thumpers (their words) who showed up at Civic Center Park (protest headquarters for many activist groups including Recreate '68) to preach damnation to the world. Condemning those who passed by to hell, arguments quickly ensued that ranged from abortion, homosexuality and love to stoning, Islam and the Middle East. It was here that a man was later arrested by over 20 police officers.

"The bible says" just isn't good enough. One of the things that is so wonderful about America is the freedom to believe in whatever you choose. I understand that the Christians believe abortion is wrong, but that doesn't mean that the right to choose should be taken away. You would be forcing people to comply with YOUR religious beliefs. How is that right? Not everyone believes like you do. You don't believe in abortions, then don't have one. But don't take away that right from someone else.

The woman at the end is particularly interesting. She yelled the whole time without allowing any interjection as if she were the exacting source of truth and fealty. Obviously Hitler-like in concept. The world is in the shape it is in because of women like her who all want to go their own way as if that way is a true nature. And leave the nature of what it means to be from the rib of man.

If she stopped for a breath even for a second he would go on about how the bible says that we should love each other and that we don't do bad things to women anymore. If they had the chance they would. Education is the churches worst enemy. People believe in god because they fear the idea that there is nothing after death and don't understand how the world works

America is a theology whether they like to admit it or not. Because what does the president have to do before going into office? Swear on the bible! If the church could go back to the days where they could kill you for being Gay, Atheist or a woman that disobey's her husband. You think the Holocaust was bad? World War 2 lasted 6 years and 1 day. The dark ages lasted two thousand years! This included the witch trails, The crusades and the spanish inquisition.

Then by NOT having unprotected heterosexual intercourse as often as possible is wrong because there is potential for life everytime a woman ovulates. Letting an ovum be discarded through menstruation destroys the potential for new life. Jail the menstruaters!!!!
