Hello, I have enjoyed viewing this video. I would like to make a shrug for myself, but I would like the back to be longer, preferably to come to my waist. To give you a frame of reference I am 5'9. Can you tell me how many stitches I would need for the back portion of the shrug in order for it to be longer?

Hey Marcelle, I think I'm about to get it in and and try out this beautiful beginner shrug!! YEA! lol. nah, but anyways, i didn't catch it in your video.... how many balls of yarn did you use for this shrug? also, do you know how I would make the sleeves smaller while doing the pattern? cuz i didn't like how large the sleeves were on nyaisa..

Anxiously waiting on your response. My hubby brought me some yarn yesterday so I can't WAIT to use it!!! =)

Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial. This is the second work which I'm going to crochet along from you, first it's the granny bottom bag and this one. I made the bag for my mom and this one as well. I wish when my mom use it she can feel me close to her. I'm living in the state but my mom lives in Asia so this is the closest thing I can do to make her feel that's I'm around her. Thank you so much.
