@TxiRecoNz the f-35 isnt near as good because it has a WAY to small wing span for it size and weight so its going to have a terrible turn radius and its thrust vectoring is that affictive, not near as much as the f-22 also. is has a lower power to weight ratio than the f-16s and way lower than f-22,about the 3 services, its just ok at preforming roles for all three services not great, last, it has more upkeep and cost 50 or 60 million more than the f-22 when its not as affective.

@erizzeldizzel Comparing the F-35 and F-22 alone is rather whacked, considering both are two different kinds of aircraft for different roles. It might as well be the same as comparing the B-17 Flying Fortress with the Junkers Ju-88. I believe judging the F-35 is rather a bit too early, considering that it's not even in active service and won't be until the coming years - still plenty of time for improvements.

"Disable the stealth tech" REALLY where do get this shit!!!! The only time the F-22 stealth is compromised is when it opens it's weapons doors and then it has a radar croos-section the size of a hummingbird then they close and it's dark again. Cannot be shot down by any existing or proposed enemy technology. It was designed to actually skip a generation of fighters so in essence it is generation 6 if we want to get technical. Chinese don't have anything close and we know there quality.

F-35 is not super manuverable, cannot super cruise and is not total stealth, it is Gen 4.5 at best and although it is impressive it is a striker and has limited range for a striker which means external fuel tanks well there goes your stealth. The original contract was 200 billion it is now over 350 billion and it wont deliver anywhere near the numbers it promised making price per unit more than a raptor and obama canceled the raptor saying it was old tech and costly, could have built the 500

For all you idiots out there> There is only one 5th Gen. fighter in the world and it's the F-22. 5th Gen is not how new it is, it's a set of requirements=Total stealth, super maneuverability, Super Cruise capability etc..The F-22 defined these requirements..Please tell me which Russian fighter you are referring too. F-35=Useless non stealth over budget under-delivered piece of hot looking shit. One engine for a navy fighter is fucking suicide. The dumbest thing to ever come out of Obamas asshole was that the F-22 was obsolete. The f-22 will mop the fucking floor with anything that can take off including the f-35 which my fighter buddies call a beautiful THUD. I actually think the THUD was hotter. Like the commanche helicopter that was cancelled, canceling the 500 proposed f-22 was a fucking epic fail.

The F-22 is based for dogfighting due to its incredible speed and its deadly weapons. The F-35 had 3 versions of the same jets for different roles. The F-35 is based on a stealth jet. One version of the F-35 uses STOVL capabilities. In other words, it can hover. STOVL stands for Safe Take Off Vertical Landing. The F35 uses the strongest engine yet. The design on the F35 gives it more stealthy design and the non-reflective painting keeps the radar blind from it. The F22's body is faster/efficient
