A NEON counter circuit I built in my spare time. Nothing special, runs 4 little NEON bulbs from a PIC microcontroller. Sinking the NEONs through MPSA42 NPN transistors. All running of a special transformer-less PSU outputting 5.1volts (for logic) and 165volts (for the NEONs)
The circuit runs each pattern 4 times and then advances to the next pattern. If the red button is pressed, the circuit will skip to the next pattern once it completes the one it is currently running, regardless of how many times that pattern has already run.
