Arizona Black Rattlesnake (Crotalus cerberus) we came across on our trip in August. Thanks to George C. for spotting the snake. Shout out to the AZ crew for making this an epic trip.

  • Still not as tough as a king snake, it would eat it for supper !

  • @lannie100 - lol true dat.

  • WOW -- I would've fallen head over heels in love with this thing (& probably got bit)! How blessed you are! I've yet to see a black one in the wild. Nice work and choice of music.

  • @waywardmuse - judy - you definitely would've dug this guy.

  • Really great footage of this magnificent creature!

  • @walk4trot2canter3 - thanks!

  • My dad killed a black rattlesnake one time that had 16 rattlers and a button. It was at least twice as big as the one in this vid and probably 3 times. I only seen about the last one foot of it, he brought it home in the bed of the pickup, it was blown apart by a high powered rifle.

  • Great footage! Man! I'd hate to Tango with that big dog!

  • @shsftbll71 - they have some amazing rattlesnakes in AZ.

  • Used Catch-box, a small cardboard box, with calcium sand in bottom, with plastic hollow rock inside. Taped up completely, cutting small door at bottom. When she went in, just reached in, and taped up door flap. Never hearing her rattle one second, she never felt threatened during transport. Very beautiful creatures, I truly enjoy watching.

  • @smetlogik That would be the Next neonate I would like to raise to adulthood, then releasing like I've done with vid. "Sad Day releasing Rattlesnake" : ) Really enjoy these creatures, having a custom 24 X 48" Bioplastics cage with twin: heats, desert lights, fans, keyed locks, all on 24 timers. Also have divider with twin sliding doors which enables proper cleaning, while protecting the snake's well being. Once placed in cage, Ms. Gadsden never came out, until I released her. (cont.)

  • @EcoPaintSpecialists1 - thanks! someone else in our group spotted it, definitely one of the coolest rattlers i've come across in the U.S.
