Immortal Technique came by Occupy Wall Street at around 3 in the morning. I had just finished working with the Call to Action group and I couldn't think of a better way to end the night.

He also did a freestyle rap which can be viewed here:

  • @Thezuule1 in that case i apologize... but if you understood the point i was trying to make towards the narrow minded then even better... sorry for babling on haha peace man

  • @davepluta That sounds like where I live. Well cept the police showing up that tends to take a really long time

  • Immortal Technique is a very smart man.

  • @wcropp1 is an ochlocracy, which is essentially mob rule. Democracy assumes individual rights, or at least liberal democracy does. The U.S. is technically a liberal democratic republic.

  • @smnaotrt Your argument is valid, but at the end of the day it is clearly defined individual rights and institutional controls that protect the individual in society. I hear the whole "this is a republic not a democracy" statement a lot, but do you think being a republic would really be any different without the bill of rights? All being a republic does is limit accountability of the representatives. An accountable delegate subject to recall is a different story. What you're describing

  • @Freedomensional I think you misunderstood me.

  • @Thezuule1 well i take it your christian... but if you bothered listening to the rest of his speech you would have understood when he said "if your religion hasn't made you a better person, then your religion has failed you" and im not trying to say your religion is wrong im just telling you to ask yourself... has being a christian made you a better person as a whole? or some one that doesn't respect others views and opinions and a stubborn person thinking only you are correct?

  • If you really want to screw the world up worse the first thing you should do is grab a bible. He had me until he made that comment.

  • Tech's comparison to junkies & the state seems more applicable to a socialist/welfare system than it does to a republic. As @Blackadder153 mentions I don't want to live in a democracy. No matter how you cut it democracy is comparable to gang rape or lynch mobs. If there are no fundamental individual rights guaranteed who is to say that you won't be at the brown end of the stick. If Tech thinks this country is free-market than he has been drinking the kool-aid that the state has been feeding him.

  • I don't want to live in a Democracy. That means mob rule which is just as bad as an Oligarchy.
