Nice job Ron. About time we had a coach that doesn't put up with the idiots that try to pass for "Hockey analysts" in our Toronto media (Simmons, Loewens et al). I'm certain that half of them have never even played competitive hockey.

I'm not a Leaf fan, but I can admit that Wilson was right to defend himself like he did.

@vesh777 You forget that he also coached when there were ties, so you can't just go W/GP to get a winning percentage. Before joining the leafs, he was 518-472-101 (OTLs included in Ls). That also includes coaching the expansion Mighty Ducks for their first 4 years (and getting them into the playoffs). He's somehow still 2 games above .500 after 3 seasons with the TERRIBLE Leafs team he inherited when Sundin 'retired'. They should be a winning team this year, though ;)

I support Ron Wilson on this, some of the Toronto media guys are idiots and ask stupid riduculous questions from time to time. This coming from a Leafs fan

the players need a new young coach who can infuse some actual energy into their game. im sick of this burnout killing the spirit of the club
-
well ron...thats below .500 winning percentage...and its only going to get worse you loser
-
@wisefool09876 just because you no nothing about hockey, doesnt mean you need to spaz on me.
-
@hossa4ever Which is why players that care have been brought in and those that don't have been or are being shipped out.
-
i think ron wilson is a great coach but he gets put on teams that have no desire to win
