  • The' baddies' never drove Fords. Ford stipulated this as they supplied cars for the show.

  • the car concerned is a consol gt v6 i had won best car ive had

  • i love The Mk1 Grenada awsome fricken car would love to be able to own and drive one Ford FTW

  • @TheFlyinsquad Although i agree about the punchy V6 the "Consul" which is actually a Granada being a 74 registered motor, actually never had McPherson front struts, it was a double wishbone setup :)

  • I like The Clash's White Riot and I like Sweeney car chases, but together they've ruined each other! PS. That Jag's an S-Type, not a Mk2.

  • @Copshootcop74 Jags had 4-wheel disc brakes. A lot of weight to stop though!

  • Consul/Granadas had wishbone front suspension shared with Mk 3/4/5 Cortinas, not McPherson struts

  • @TheFlyinsquad SHUT IT SAN!!! lol

  • Right to say the Jag by then was a fast gunship albeit in a straight line. The punchy Essex V6 of the Consul with it's more modern McPherson strut suspension and manual gearbox was the better sportier and more manageable 70's rip snorter. I'd have it now. Bells an all!! Now fack off.

  • The site where it was filmed was at Slough Gas Power Station, its now a massive car park holding new cars although one of the gas balloon things still exist.
