@LBRTRN89 I'm not disputing that your football team is a low priority, I'm just making the point that unlike several world-class European sides, the US qualifies for every World Cup. that's because your only non-risible opposition in qualifying is Mexico, and even then, they'd struggle to qualify in Europe. 'tis a bad system indeed.

@MadOldPete your premise is completely hypothetical, we'll never know if your right unless FIFA changes their seating pattern. Though my initial point is still valid America sends its third tier athletes to play soccer, out best athletes play American football and basketball. If we were similar to a Latin American, European or African county Chris Johnson or D-Wade or Reggie Bush would be our starting strikers.

@docrock66 come on man, why'd you go there with your comment? The world is big enough for every sport. I think its GREAT if there are US fans that love football/soccer, but its a big enough sport with or without them. Everyone doesnt have to like it, it's great if some yanks do.
I dislike these "which is a better sport" - arguments, let people follow what they want!
PS. heres a HUUGE thank you to TEAM USA (and its fans) for the emotion and excitment they brought to the world cup 2010.
