Country artist Ronnie McDowell is my friend. He is so talented as a singer and painter. I found this clip of doing what he does better than anyone. Priscilla thought so too and had him sing Elvis in the miniseries of the same name. With the king's original back up singers and players....a classic from Mr. McDowell.

Ronnie is the only one who is really close enough to sound like elvis and theres not really that much of a differnce between to the two of them.

i like Ronnie McDowell's country records. He's a great artist. He does a very good job on some Elvis songs...the best thing he ever did was THE KING IS GONE and the soundtrack to the Kurt Russell movie. I've never felt like "WOW" he's just like Elvis, because he's not. Ronnie is best when he's doing his own thing but unfortunately everybody wants to hear Elvis from him.

That would be HAIR COLOR, not a rug. Believe me, he doesn't wear a rug. Nothing nasaly about it. Sounds great!!!!!!!

he's way to nasaly...he's slightly reminiscent of a young elvis at best....i never knew until someone told me and showed me some photo's that ronnie wears a rug..he went bald early in life...thats why he never wore the pompadour like 'elvis'..i guess they dont make d.a. hair pieces..if you really listen closely to the 'elvis' songs he sings against the original..he really doesnt sound like him..great voice in his own right though..go to elvis week 2008 and look at his hair. two different colors!
