Brisbane band Perfect Strangers on TV in the early 1980s. Mark Dadds on guitar + vocals, Tony Childs on bass, and John Downie, from JFK and the Cuban Crisis, pretending to play drums because the usual drummer David Chambers was lost in the carpark during filming. The song Tightrope written by Peter Anderson and Mark Dadds.

  • Great musicians in their day - I used to always see them playing at the 4zzz uni refectory shows. They had a really full sound and songs that were so much better than the commercial bands. Even years later, I'm trying to remember a song they had about the insects taking over the world (as no one seems to notice) Tony Childs was a nice guy - he played in my band recording when I cut my hand. He played for Zero for a while, then another few bands. My favourite Brisbane band of the early 1980's!

  • Nearly as good as Great wall of China, the other Anderson song.
