http://www.ActionBowlers.com - Alex Cavagnaro at 15yrs old bowling Joe Scianna at Deer Park Lanes Long Island... AC butch and Lenny The Cane were there...
@BIGGREENLEAF1 I used to bowl tournaments where kids came in with 220 plus, and get beat by some kids with 205-210 more often than not. Some places just flat out wall 'em up. Like Don Carter's Tamarac (a.k.a Slam-a-rac) was a popular one. I think I heard Bo Burton say, "It is not what you bowl, but who you beat."Funniest part, this same guy in the interview was around back then.
@atlanticcityguide In fairness to Alex, he has had some success in PBA regional competition winning a title with Anthony Pepe. I met both of them and they're very nice kids.
No the resin ball, walled lanes and surlyn coated pins bowled 300 when he was 11.Stop pumping this kid to think he is better than what he really is let him learn and develop the way those who had to learn how to bowl back before all this crap started in the early 80's. I've seen it happen to others in the modern game they're sporting a 225 average then enter a big event and none of the extra help is there and boom they found out real fast they really were a 175 bowler and left the game for good.
