Too young sounding
-
@orangekeys223 Nigerian is an african language. You dont know all.
-
Hun, "Nigerian" is not a language.....
-
you guys need to work on your pronounciation!!!!! and expression.. it looks like you guys are bored and hate the song.
-
@liveforband211 I think so too I'm a alto but I really like it when my choir does that Mr H even gave me permission to sing with the tenors because I liked it so much
-
I think is ok, the guys in the beginning could have put more emphasis on the betelehemu, it sounded kind of weak
-
that was ok performance.. I don't think it's terrible.. it was good but they could've done better.
-
That was terrible.

Dude, what the hell was that? "hey, lets have a autistic person yell some lyrics! (not even one of the hot ones) " ?
this year the CHS choir has 110 students. Including me.

Videomod42, This was the Chamber Chorus, not the full Concert Choir, of which the chamber chorus is usually part. Students in this chamber chorus were chosen by audition. Has CHS gone to only one choir, the big one? That would make me sad, although Ms. Mai's return is definitely a remarkable thing. Enjoy your year with her!

Point well-taken, doodlesandnoodles, but then it's not really fair to compare most high school choruses with college ones either, is it? I suspect the fabulous Morehouse Glee Club even has access to native Nigerian speakers so they get every syllable and drumbeat just right!

Only clue I can find concerning language is an ad for the sheet music which refers to it as "Yoruba dialect." Hope that helps answer your question.
