    You should really know your order of operations before you start talking a bunch of mess...

    PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponets, Multi., Division, Addition, Subtract) tells us that the first thing to do would be to square the -1. squaring a negative number gives you a positive. So, 3(-1)^2= 3. then -4(-1) makes a positive 4... so now it reads 3+4+2... Which is NINE.

    Way to go...
