In these series of videos I aim to show you the basics of constructing a fighting robot.

Episode 3 - This episode covers the moofications needed to make a standard servo turn 360 degrees for use as an antweight robot motor. Although the model shown is a Futaba S3003, the principal is the same with any servo.

  • THis was extremely helpful. The 90 degrees just wasn't enough for my robotic arm but now it works great

  • can this trick be dun to a micro servo?

  • Very descriptive, Thanks and keep up the good work.

  • thanks! this is usefull information.

  • @shebotnov not realy unless they are realy fucked with, mine have been going for a year.

  • @taftdavid u can take a servo cut the white cable and the adaptor and use the + to the + of ur reciever and the - to the - of your transmiter.(I think + is the black and - is the red). But servos are loud and your cheap rc car must have plenty of power.

    P.S sry 4 bad English...

  • 1. I read using servos as wheels will drastically reduce its life span because they are not designed to run for a long continuous time. Is that right?

    2. Will you be able to count rotations if you use them as wheels?

  • I have a cheap RC car, I want to use the steering assembly to move my puppets eyes. However the motor that turns the assembly is to loud. Is there a way to replace that motor with a servo? If so, how is that down? Your video's are great!

  • Excellent video.
