Born in the Sea (Cover) by ScottAllyn

Here's my cover of Peppino D'Agostino's "Born in the Sea". This is one of my favorite guitar songs and is actually one of the first "full-length" fingerstyle tunes that I learned.

I recorded this in my livingroom on a Woolson Soundcraft Double-Top LG (Little Guy) guitar. This guitar is barely larger than a parlor, but sounds twice its size! Check the official Woolson Soundcraft site for more information about this particular model:

I removed this video a few days ago because the audio quality, after being recompressed by YouTube, was quite poor. I was hoping that, if I played around with the audio settings enough, I'd be able to come up with something that'd sound halfway decent. Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck - ths is about as good as it's going to get for this particular recording. ::sigh::

Hi Pascal! I think you did actually a comment shortly after I originally uploaded this, but I deleted that video a few hours after uploading it. I was *really* unhappy with the audio quality (after youtube mangled it) and wanted to try some different compression settings to see if YouTube would stop mucking up the audio. So this is the 2nd version... and the audio still sounds just as bad to my ears. ::sigh::

Thanks claypaff! I'm such a stickler when it comes to tone and sound quality that it's hard to listen to this after YouTube has mangled it, but everyone else who uploads to YouTube has to deal with the same issues. I'll just grit my teeth and deal with it! :D

I've actually listened to this cover of yours

for last 6 months and haven't made any comment. I'm a big fan of Peppino D'Agostino and this cover really sounds like the original version in 'Everystep of the Way'
