Dead Thumb and Finger Technique Part 1 of 4

hey, thank you for putting out these great vids for free, I really find them helpful and you're awesome and all, but PLEEAAASEE could you not do the " we're in standard tuning (thumbin all strings for 10secs in every single video)" simply because it is unnessesary, it takes a lot of time and nevertheless it is really irritating (we're not retards who don't know what standard tuning is). I sure hope you're not takin this as an insult.

This is a great video very well presented....however I was somewhat confused on what you meant by "Dead thumb" That term to me refers to monotonic bass...ala Mance Lipscomb. Of course many of these same techniques apply. After watching the video I assume your referring to the fact that the strings are deadened with right and left hand muting hand.
