These are two toataly different priced cameras obviously the Samsung is a little better in terms of audio and low light whilst you can still use it to film yourself without framing your shots terribly thanks to the flip-out screen but the zx1 works better with say a time lapse (without audio) because it can shoot well outside and captures viberant colours well with it's unfortunaly not full yet 720 HD, the cameras don't comapare well, an good comparison would be this the flip HD and the Go pro.

Kodak Zx1s FTW!!!

@acrobat7788 couldnt agree more..
on a sunny day the kodak zx1 kiks ass...
in low light or bit of a grey day, it gets its ass kiked.

what was the program used at the beginning that made the pic on a tack board?
-
I loved zx1 but every time I save videos in Kodak Media Impression the image get bad quality, do you know why? thanks.

agreed

no camera can beat the Zx1 in the sun, but when the time comes to shoot in low light the quality gets extremely bad ,it drops from 60 F/s to 3 or 4 f/s by it self . even Kodak wrote back to someone , they told him this is not a low light camera.
but for daytime outside filming i think it's the best
which one for you is better zx1 because i am gonna get that one

The Zx1 is ok, there is no image stabiliser so it can be a little jerky vision on playing it back, the weather proofing is great....
its a good little camcorder and good quality for the price.

Thanks for posting this video. Looks like you edited this on your Mac + iMovie, am I right? I have a Mac + iMovie too, but I'm wondering you got any aspect ratio problems with the 1080i record settings in iMovie. A lot of HMC-H series video's on youtube have a uncorrect aspect setting. All your video's look pretty good. So looks like 720P is working fine in iMovie 09, or not? I you have time, could you try importing a 1080i file and check the aspect is allright?
Thanks for your time

So overall, would you recommend this camera?
because I want a handy video camera that does the job.

yes i would, the gain seemed to be up very high as all of my other videos do not have the wining noise on them.
I would look to get a spare battery over time though...
