Brava!!! Magnificent singing with great sensitivity and use of the text.

To me Margaret Price was probably one of the most underated operatic sopranos.Whatever she tackled(and she knew exactly what,(and more importantly, what not) to sing;si her voice was unimpaired until the end.
My favourite memory of her is as Aida, not a role that I had thought of her doing,in a TV transmission(to the UK) from San Francisco, opposite Pavarotti. The(wonderfully atmospheric) production was by Sam Wannamaker(Zoe's dad)
In Mozart there was no better soprano
Brava Margaret.

Lady Margaret is so great singing this beautiful Mozart's aria. Peace and love on her for ever.

I'm devastated to learn that Margaret Price passed away just over a month ago. May she rest in peace. Her Isolde always astounded me.

God given and heaven sent. What a wonderful talent.

I had a hard and fraustrating day. Then I listened to Margaret Price singing Vorrei and all of my worries just melted away. The trill at 2.28 is just pure magic. I was very sad to hear she had passed away.

I ordered a Leontyne Price album in the 70s and ended up with a Margaret Price album. I played it anyway and was not disappointed. I became a fan then and there. Thank you for making my life richer! RIP

Comment I & II of III It is with great sadness that Dame Margaret price passed away on January 28,2011. The world has lost one of the most luminous voice, with superb legato and a rare and unique musical sense. Her repertoire was always chosen carefully to suit her voice and she is a fully accomplished lieder interpret. In her personal life she was a very courageous person, suffering from her legs since childhood with difficult surgeries and remained in pain for the rest of her life.
Greatful to hear heavier Voices performing this very difficult Aria. Stupenda !!!

And again Ms. Price proves one of the greatest sopranos of the last century. The more recordings I hear by her, the more I regret never hanving attaneded one of performances. Not to mention my surprise she wasn't generally considered the ultimate thing in opera: clearly, she was.
