Cirque Du Soleil (Quidam)- Steffi Ledbetter

When I was 12 years old I auditioned for Cirque Du Soleil's production of "Quidam." If you don;t know what cirque du soleil is, I feel bad for you! :P Here's a link though... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cirque_du_Soleil) I wasn't expecting much because I knew there were girls just like me auditioning all around the world to get the lead role of "Zoe". About a month later, they told me they were interested and wanted me to record these five songs and send them in as soon as possible. I was so excited that I learned all of the songs the same day I got them! Soon enough, I sent them in and received a call to fly to Montreal, Quebec for a live audition where they would narrow it down to two girls. These two girls would alternate as the show toured different countries. The same day of my audition I heard there were two other girls that also had a live audition. This made me think that it was only the three of us left and they would eliminate one. Sadly, it was me... but getting so far in something as big as this at such a young age was AMAZING! I love Cirque du Soleil and I thought I would share with you my audition songs! Thanks for listening!

This is really good. Sounds like its right out of the show. And I've heard some weak "Zoe" characters during the 4 times I've seen the show.

audrey brisson jutras was the one chosen... and i love her singing but i gotta say that your voice is amazing too... im a singer too but i d pray to have your extension

@manutummi actually audrey brisson was the original. She did her first show in 1996... for a few years following that. The girl I competed with, Ella Bangs, got the role in 2006. I met her at the audition. They have had numerous girls do it over the years, and Audrey did it when I was only two years old.. so kind of impossible for me to have auditioned with her.. haha but thanks so much :)
