    India has many languages. Hindi and english are the languages which is understood by many people across the nation unlike other languages which are region specific.

    But then again there are people who can't understand hindi and then there are who don't understand english. Therefore most national news channels are in hindi or english. NDTV happens to be one of those english news channels. :)
