Now I review the 1973 sequel "Magnum Force", as Clint Eastwood returns as Dirty Harry Callahan. This time, Harry deals with a group of police officers who deem themselves judge, jury, & executioner.

The movie was directed by Ted Post and co-stars Hal Holbrook, David Soul, Tim Matheson, and Robert Urich. Hope you enjoy.

  • "A man's gotta know his limitations" Translation: Don't fuck with me. By the far the best and coolest Dirty Harry flick. Great stuff.

  • why dont they make films like this anymore?

  • @ChandlerPol I'm at the moment seeking old VHS tapes of Dirty Harry, Magnum Force and The Enforcer with their original sound effects intact

  • @englishguy2010 Yeah, and this character should constitute a lesson to all the contemporary politicians and political commentators who ostentatiously wear the flag pin as some fatuous guaranty of their patriotism and values yet may risk acting in a hypocritical and unethical manner.

  • I think that's why they had the character wearing it - the irony of it. The American flag symbolizes fairness, justice, democracy, freedom and truth. "No person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process"............a concept this flag pin wearing cop seems to have brushed aside lol

  • @SheriffTankStoner Yeah, not enough people are concerned with historical authenticity.

  • @englishguy2010 Yeah, the irony of the flag pin is wonderful.

  • I thought this had some good action scenes, but I liked the first one WAY better.

  • I liked his one the best, then 1 and 4 are tied then 3 then 5. I dont hate any of these movies, but that's just the order i like. I liked the story about Harry going against the vigilante cops and it was filled with so much action. THe "Man's got to know his limitations." line is also my favorite.

  • I love Hal Holbrook in this movie, especially when his true colours show and he reveals himself to be the leader of the vigilante cops. I love his American flag pin too and how it's all wonky when he turns up looking like shit after Harry beats the crap out of him lol. "Just hold it right there Callahan!"
