3 eggs
500ml milk(Semi Skimmed or Full Fat)
Rasins
1 Large cooking apple (Grated)
Mixed spice(Roughly 1/2 a teaspoon)
1/2 cup of Brown sugar(Golden Granulated or Muscavado)
Large dish as recipe serves 4-6 people(I use large ceramic casserole dish)
Preheat oven to 200c
Grease dish
Butter 6 slices of bread on one side keeping crusts on and set aside.
Mix together the milk and eggs.
Lay 3 slices of the bread into dish and sprinkle on some Raisins(However many you like),half of the sugar, mixed spice and grated apple.
Layer remaining bread on top and pour over milk mixture.Push bread down slightly into mixture to help it all absorb.Once again add however many Raisins you like and the rest of sugar.Leave for around 10 mins to make sure bread has absorbed the milk mixture.
Bake for around 50mins until nicely golden brown.Eat Hot or Cold.
