Romans 4:1-4 proves that Abraham was justified by faith before ever performing in any ceremony (i.e. circumcision). Like circumcision, baptism is a ceremony. To participate in a ceremony is to work, especially when one is trying to "complete salvation." BANG -- works-righteousness. Baptismal regeneration is anti-Christ. Water baptism is not necessary for salvation.
