I shot this quick clip driving our HET attached to a National Guard unit convoy heading north on MSR Tampa, April 10, 2010. Ahead of us were 4 HETS, and behind us were 47 flatbeds, these guys never slowed down once! Considering the HET is governed out at about 48 mph, these guys rolled from COB Adder to CSC Scania in about 3 hours, roughly 160 clicks.

  • civicallmotor i have no idea where u got your info from that a het is governed at 58 but who ever told you that is in crack im on deployment right now in a HET company and the top speed if you are lucky is 45 so who ever told u that is a fuckin moron

  • @ksjuggalo1 No offense, but I had a 60,000 lb wrecker on the back of the HET i'm driving in the video, and as you can see, the others were empty. I kept up with them no problem and routinley hot 58 MPH on Tampa going North and South.

  • @Vintage1976 what were u going down the hills up by marez if so yes i can see 58mph in neutral but from the looks of it no your not, that is just the m1070 het you guys r fucking morons if u believe this guy u might have got to 48 going down hill but any faster while it is in gear u have gone way past red line and r about to blow your motor lets see if 76 is when u were born u r prolly a e-7 or an 8 and an e-3 is calling u a fucking moron

  • @ksjuggalo1 Can you read? I shot this clip while driving from Tallil to Scania, that's the southern AO. No, I am not an E-7. I am a civilian. Seriously read the description. And as I said before, our HET and others I have driven did 58 no problem.

  • @Vintage1976 do these survive IEDs? Like can you escape without getting burned/maimed/etc while driving these?

  • @Dodgeoffroadfreak All HETs in Iraq and Afghanistan are uparmored now, probably one of the safest vehicles to be in for an IED. But they have been hit and guys have died driving them. Depends on the size of the IED.

  • Do military truck drivers carry weapons? I was thinking about choosing this for my mos.

  • Actually they are governed to 58mph

  • @iamslknick78 Of course my Grammar is bad, English is not my first language. I wasn't even born in America, Yea I would have pay attention in school if people stop being so racist to me. PLus 88m is not my MOS. I'm only saying there are goods and bad.

  • @Nhatv6 TCNs, KBR. Obviously someone has to do it. Unfortunately the idiots that do it now are affecting those who aren't idiots. Your complete lack of grammar makes me think you're one of those idiots. Perhaps if you payed attention in school, you would've done better on the ASVAB.
