It is the 3rd day of the year, the last day of holidaying for many who will be resuming work tomorrow(Monday). And many Kenyans are sipping their final holiday juices at several joints. In Mombasa for instance, the beaches are still crowded, happily so with domestic tourists.
The pictures of our Kenyans at the coastal beach are the nicest pictures I have ever watched from Kenya for a long time. A sigh of big relief! A peoples liberation is slowly taking root. Kenyans are taking the liberty to enjoy what is rightfully theirs, unimaginable in the previous decades. A new and nice breed of Kenyans is emerging. This inertia will extend into other sectors including politics, unfortunately under the control of greedy, sleepy and mentally outdated politicians.

The public beach area is shrinking... it was recently partially grabbed by thieves and title deeds were issued to them by the Mombasa municipal council, our trustee. It will remain a target for thieves until the government reigns in on impunity.
