Hey I heard that Tite Kubo was a big fan of Nirvana and he named Bleach after this song. Is that true?

@RocknRollOtaku Actually, I heard that Kubo had named it after a thought process he had. Supposedly the process started with the idea that death was black, but the Soul Reapers and their job should be viewed as pure and white. Apparently his idea was that bleach was a good substitute for white. This is just a theory.

@MajorHalman It is confirmed in an interview that he named the manga after Nirvana's first album. In the manga there are other hints in the manga as well such as Don Kanonji's catch phase "Smells like bad spirits!" I thought the reference is quite obvious:p

@RocknRollOtaku sadly, no, he was initially trying to name it something like black, or white, on of those 2 colors, he chose white at first but decided bleach was a better and more original name
