Liambus Fractures Fanelli's HEAD

Pretty violent looking hit, apparently Fanelli's helmet was broken, and he sustained a fractured skull and orbital bone on the play.

The blood was said to have been the result of a previous cut being re-opened by the hit. The latest news I could find said that the 16 year old rookie is in "citical but stable condition", and that he was unconcious as he was being stretchered off the ice. Wow...Hope the kid is ok.

Clean Hit.... he didnt hit with his elbow. Its ben fault, first of all he didnt wear his helmet properly and he also turned his back completely knowing he was about to get hit. he tried to dodge the hit but completely failed.

@tavini15 His helmet broke on the play. I was standing right in that corner when he was hit. He was wearing his helmet correctly. Also, Liambas used the goaltender as a shield so Ben never saw him coming. Ben thought he had lots of time but lost the puck in his feet.. He turned to see where it was and that's when Liambas came out of know-where. And the reason no one jumped Liambas is because the ref was protecting him...

NolimitdpgTRU1 - I was at that game and many of Fanelli's teammates tried to get to liambus but the linesmen got liambus off the ice and to the dressing room before anything else happened. The pussy in this was liambus for hitting a player from behind. Take a second look at thiseven when Fanelli turned his back this bastard didn't even slow down....HE SPED UP !!!!

Anyone disputing this hit as clean or the victims fault is a fucking moron. Watch hockey more often. Watch his skates, it's called a charge and in this case since the boards are there it becomes boarding. You can't do two things while making a hit in this situation 1. Continue skating(charging) and 2. Leave your feet.
