The Hunger Games Isn't That Great

Before saying anything please read this. The Hunger Games is set in the future where two children from each of the twelve districts, fight to the death for the entertainment of the Capitol and to earn food for their district.

Ok, I really liked the book but it's boring to say the exact same thing that everyone else is saying. I wanted to be different :|
But these are my actually criticism of the book.

This is sort of a contrast to my "GOOD things about Twilight" video.

@TheeOneWhoTalks :) I've only read the first book, in a long and sleepy trip. I haven't seen any of the films yet either. I was really bored with the first couple hundred pages of the book. The way the backstory was presented wasn't very interesting. but I like the chemistry as an investigative team that Mikael and Lisbeth had.

I also didn't like the ich-form and present tense :/ also, in translation to czech language it sounds like the author is a silly teenage girl who desperately wants to make her writing interesting and graphic - like what people are wearing/how do they look like to the smallest details . I mean, the hunger games are based on such a good idea.... but the author messed it up... at least to me :) I hope the movie will be a bit better because I won't have to read the annoying words she used :D

@Terinka14 I can see how the movie might actually be better than the book. It won't be in the first person Katniss view of the games (hopefully).

i didnt like the book either! finally someone who has the same opinion i also thought they didnt specify on details and it was shitty and all i wanted is for catniss to die and i just wanted to scream MOTHER FUCKER WHY WONT YOU DIE!

Well, I must say I LOVE the Hunger Games but I do get where you're coming from. It's my favorite book series in the world but as you pointed out, it's not perfect. When you read some of the reviews, you'd expect it to be perfect and flawless, which it isn't. I really liked how you pointed out the things you didn't like and told us why. Have you read the other two in the series yet??? If you haven't she then goes into all her nightmares and remembering and dwelling on all those deaths.

Some people have different opinions. I read the whole series and I loved it. And the part of the names, its the FUTURE, dont we have different names then ones in the past? I liked all three books. Its just my opinion.
