After repeated use and erasing files/programs installing them and all sorts of stuff as such the ssd slows down to the hdd speed

@wackoguywatch maybe those people didn't realize the benefit, say each load you save 4 seconds, you do ~100 loads everyday, that 365x100x4 = 146000 sec = 40.54 hrs = 5.07 working days. That means, you can have a full week out of a year.

alright so i have a SSD but it honestly feels like a HDD.... its kinda slow and not the performance i expected.... idk what i should do, should i format it or what.... i got my macbook pro used on ebay and it came with 8gb of ram and a 160 gb Intel SSD

also will i lose iLife, and all of the applications that came with lion out of the box or will the operating system already come with that.

they should've made the sad standard for the 2300 i paid for this laptop... but it's the best computer i've ever owned so i'm not complaining. anyway, i want a 512GB SSD. here's the deal. i don't care if i lose anything, and would rather do a clean install anyway. how can i do a fresh install on the macbook with the new drive if there's no install disc? also, will the computer even turn on without an operating system to boot to?

The only two down points about an SSD is the pricing and the space. I'm sure the many other factors will more than compensate for that.

@wackoguywatch so you laugh in their face as they laugh in yours. That doesn't make you different or wiser person, even tho you can afford it. Isn't it?

What One is the HDD And the SSD and this is Funny because im researching about the MacBook and im doing it with the ipad2 and you Know the MacBook and ipad2 are both from apple
Actually its worth every penny for the speed, booting, and energy saving. The only people that say its not worth it are people who cant afford it.

SSD worths everything. Faster loading, faster booting, quieter, energy saving, shock resistance, less weight and most important less damage to the battery life.
