@2miguel34 I don't think you are meant to do that with EMGs

@jarledge nice dude i really like the 81 and 89,, i actually changed mine to 81 85s for a richer warmer sound, and i cant decide if i like them, the classic 81 i think is a little hotter than the 81tw but not enough to make a huge difference (or to just cover up with a peddle), and the 85 in my opinion lacks a lot of versatility and is flat when it comes to its cleans, i think im probably going to put my old ones back in i cant decide haha

4 is the tone control necessary i use the guitar for progressive metal only
he had used the old 3 way switch along with the tone pot from the passive hz's that were installed so id really appreciate your help cheers and thanks in advance

89 has the same strenght with the 81 with the only difference it can be a single coil as well?
-
i got the same setup on my flying v

I've never heard the 89 on the bridge before. Place it and play it! XD

@MetalGuruSvk that actually the same guitar im thinking about getting. but it is a lot harder to find guitars for left handed people. my brother is left handed and he says it is a lot harder to find lefty guitars because there is a much smaller amount made
-
@jarledge Sorry dude, but i disagree. I am left-handed guitar player and its nearly impossible to play like right-handed. Trust me, you have that felling in the left hand and you can´t just transfer it into the other one. Its somewhere there in your head. And these days there is no problem choosing good guitar even for left-handed player. Of course, lefty : righty guitars is like 1 : 1000 but you can still find one which suits you. Fx. I have bought Schecter hellraiser C-1 now, it suits me well.

You are a great player, but boy is that one ugly fuckin mismatched guitar.
ok good player one complante u should realy shield ur guitar from the cavity with coper foil or just plain old foil so u can stop the humming u get on ur guitar when u stop playing

@2miguel34 My guitar's control cavity is 100% shielded with adheasive backed copper foil. My mark III is just nosie. Even with a noise suppressor the amp still had audiable ambient hum.

Nice sound man ))) Hey off topic question... Are you lefty and play right-hand guitar?
panhulio 1 year ago
@panhulio i am guessing you asked that because of my watch. No i am right handed , i have always just worn my watch on right wrist. On that note to any leftys out there try to start out on a right handed from the get go. Lefty guitars are more expensive and not every right hand guitar has a left handed counterpart. It may be a little difficult at first but it will save you money and give you more options in the long run

how about EMG X's? I heard news about Duncan active that is more pleasant which mix the wood/body in its p.u tone, kinda passive p.u. if it so....then yes it is Good p.u.
My opinion....EMG is very distinct in its sound (like it, it cuts thru mix), main thing that sets its tone is the amp we use to feed it....there is LESS wood/body/gtr-timbre inside its tone.

the few clips i have heard of the x series sounded horrible. They sounded really hollow and tinny distorted. I have yet to hear anything impressive.
