you should have sewed the pocket onto the lining/interfacing when you sewed the center seam. then you should have done the sewing the lining to the jean

For the pocket you could have sewn it to the lining before you sewed the lining to the actual purse

maybe u should have sewed the pocket in first, and then you could have reinforced it to the lining, but anyhow. i LOVE purses like this that are made from leather or suede!

Thank God I can sew and figure out what size to make mine cause there weren't any measurments to go by really, but nonetheless, you did a great job and I'm glad you can sew. It was my first time ever making a purse, working with jeans and practically sewing a project on my own. I think I did good for a beginer :)
