Most people don't know this, but this was originally a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, called Christmas bells, he also wrote Paul Revere's Ride, a really famous poem, he wrote this poem after his wife was killed when her dress was caught on fire, he jumped on her to try and put out the fire, and severly burned himself.

Great song! But is there any way to correct the title? :)

Thanks for putting this up. The song is very clear, and I don't like songs uploaded with that static noise.

This is, indeed, a splendid song. I wonder how many listeners know that the words were penned by one of America's famous poets, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, in 1863? Longfellow had just lost his wife in a fire and his son to the U.S. Civil War. He had a lot to be bitter about, but God spoke to his heart and reminded him that the last word is not humankind's but God's--the proof itself being the invasion of earth by Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace! Hallelujah!
