Two Grade 4 students rewrote the words to the Beatles' "Help!" and recorded their own song about endangered animals. Together, they also produced this video. Lyrics:
STOP! Extinction right now.
STOP! Having endangered animals.
STOP! Never do those things.
STOP!!!!!
When I was younger in the very silent forest
I was living nice and good with all my other friends
But when the humans came and stole our habitat
And they killed us, so we had a lot of hopeless days
No more deforestation and pollution
Bush meat, poaching, making into fashion
We are suffering, please do stop those actions
Oh, please, please, stop it.
Animals are connected; it's biodiversity
We are in the food web, and we can never break it.
If you make an animal extinct, the eater of that animal
Will become extinct; it's a huge cycle of life.
No more deforestation and pollution
Bush meat, poaching, making into fashion
We are suffering, please do stop those actions
Oh, please, please, stop it.
But still we aren't extinct, we have a lot of hope.
Sanctuaries, organizations, we have a bunch of them.
You can help by donating to the sanctuaries
Save the Chimps, Red List, and there are many, many more.
No more deforestation and pollution
Bush meat, poaching, making into fashion
We are suffering, please do stop those actions
Oh, please, please, stop it.
Stop it! Stop it!
not the best voices, but the best message
